Living with ADHD isn’t about trying to “fix” yourself — it’s about learning how to support your brain in a way that actually works for you.
For me, it’s been a lot of trial and error… and slowly figuring out what helps me feel calmer, more focused, and more in control of my day.
These are the things I genuinely use and come back to again and again 🤍
🧠Supporting My Brain (The Basics That Matter Most)
I’ve realised that when my brain is supported properly, everything else feels easier.

Simple things like:
- Omega-3 https://amzn.to/4mapVnk
- Magnesium https://amzn.to/4tvTfqX
- Good nutrition Follow my Nourished Woman Series on you tube https://youtu.be/KtMJWoUhyvo?si=S8TMfwCzK2QM-BcO
These aren’t quick fixes, but I do notice a difference when I stay consistent — especially with focus and feeling less overwhelmed.
⚡ Energy & Focus
One of my biggest challenges has always been starting and staying on tasks.
I’ve found that having the right support for energy and focus — alongside medication where needed — makes a real difference.
It’s not about being perfect or productive all the time… just having a bit more clarity and momentum in the day.

🌿 Calm & Nervous System
ADHD isn’t just about focus — it’s how your whole system feels.

When I feel calmer, everything becomes easier:
- Decisions
- Conversations
- Getting started
So I’ve started prioritising things that help regulate my nervous system and reduce that constant “busy” feeling in my head.

🦠Gut Health (Something I’ve Only Recently Understood)
I’ve become much more aware of how much your gut affects how you feel mentally.
So I’ve started focusing more on:
- Probiotics https://amzn.to/4slA2Y7
- Fibre
- Fermented foods like Kefir https://amzn.to/3POTAqc
Nothing extreme — just small changes that support things from the inside out.
🏡 Making Life Easier (ADHD-Friendly Home)
One of the biggest things that’s helped me is making my environment work with me, not against me.
Things like:

- Simple organisation
- Easy storage
- Having things visible and accessible
- My favourite pads – for weekly planners, meal planner and to do lists https://joannesjournals.co.uk/collections/planner-pads

It reduces overwhelm and helps me stay on track without having to think about everything all the time.
đź’› Real Life
Not everything works for everyone.
And this isn’t about doing everything perfectly — it’s about finding a few things that genuinely help and building from there.
For me, it’s been about:
âś” Supporting my body
âś” Simplifying my environment
âś” Being a bit kinder to myself
